Training in summer is from 6.00pm – 8.00pm on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings during daylight savings as organised by the individual team coaches.

Safety

  • Protectors
All players both girls and boys are required to wear a protector, box or cup at training and games.
    No cup, no play.
If your local chemist shop doesn’t stock them you may have to visit a sports store to find them.
  • Sunblock
All players should wear sunblock during games, even the early morning games.
If you forget to bring sunblock to the ground there is a supply available at the canteen.
  • Water
Please ensure your child brings a bottle of water to training and games.

Wet Weather

If you are playing at home your coach or manager will be notified by our Ground Manager if Timbrell Park is closed.

If you are playing away your coach or manager should be notified by the opposition Club as to whether their ground is open.

IF IN DOUBT – TURN UP FOR THE GAME READY TO PLAY. DON’T RISK A FORFEIT.

Parents

Our Club is run on a voluntary basis and we call on the parents (or any other enthusiastic person who puts their hand up) to manage and coach the teams and act as umpires and scorers. It’s not as hard as it sounds. We have coach and umpire courses at the beginning of the season with the Club covering course costs. The Committee members are here to support and assist in any way.

  • The Games
For home games only, teams are required to dress the diamond before and after the game. All team members are required to assist their coach/manager.
  • The Canteen
The Canteen is our major source of fund raising. The funds raised have and will continue to pay for the equipment used by the players and, very importantly, the trophies at the end of the season.
Remember to support the canteen as a customer on match days.

Five Dock FalconsPresentation Day

All Junior players receive a Participation Award at Presentation Day.

It is also Falcons policy to make several special awards to players in each team. These are decided by the coach and manager toward the end of the season.

Players who have played with the Falcons for 5 or 10 consecutive years also receive an award
