Registrations for Seniors Summer Season 2025/26 Open Now

If you have any questions please contact Senior Registrar , Phil O’Toole, on 0412 343 952

Due to major works being undertaken at Timbrell Park the club will temporarily vacate the ground for the Senior 2025/26 season.

Our Senior teams will be relocated to Magdala Park, Magdala Road, Ryde for this season only.

Due to these temporary arrangements the club is intending on entering a limited number of senior teams with a max of 12 players per team for this season.  Spots will be limited.

It is recommended new players interested in joining the Falcons for the first time this summer season contact the club Senior Registrar Mr Phil O’Toole. Email senior-registrar@fivedockfalcons.com.au before completing a registration form.

The club is excited over the planned upgrades to the park and our facilities and will be returning to Timbrell Park well before the 2026/27 Summer season.

Five Dock Falcons fields teams in the Pacific Coast Baseball League (PCBL) competition. The summer competition runs from September through to March while the winter competition runs from April to August.  Any player who is fifteen at the beginning of the season is eligible to play in the PCBL competition.

It is notionally a Saturday competition, but because there are a limited number of baseball diamonds available, there will be some Sunday games scheduled. Usually, the draw for the full season is available from Round 2 onwards.

From time to time Five Dock Falcons will also enter teams in the PCBL Masters League. This competition runs 90 minute games on  Monday evening from Sept to December and another competition from January to March each year. There is no Masters Competition during winter.

Gradings

Teams are graded from A grade to F or G grade, with usually 6 club teams in each grade. Two games of the same grade are played at the same park each weekend. In winter,  Division 2 from 12.30pm to 2.30 pm, Division 1 from 2.45pm to 4.45pm. In summer the games are played one hour later. Once you are allocated to a team you will always play either the early or late game but can ‘back up’ for the other team occasionally if they are short of players.

The team manager will be responsible for allocating fielding positions and batting orders. While the manager will take into account an individual player’s expressed interest in particular positions, they will balance this with the skill set of the entire team and will make the final decision.

Playing Fields

Locations range from Five Dock, Balmain and North Sydney to Hornsby and Kur-ing-gai depending upon the teams placed into each grade.

Training

As Timbrell Park does not have lights, there is no weekday training during the winter season, but in summer general training is held at Timbrell Park from 6.30pm until dark on Wednesdays or Thursdays. On the weekend each player is expected to be at the ground at least one hour before the game in order to warm up and do light training before the game.
